If there is one thing Canadians know about, it's snow, and this avalanche association is a
great resource for learning its dangers. Read about the training courses in avalanche
safety, general information and accident information.
Colorado Avalanche Information Center
The CAIC is the avalanche forecast and education center for the state of Colorado. The
center's main goal is to promote safety through timely reports and a variety of training
programs for professionals and serious outdoors enthusiasts.

and research and avalanche incident reports.
Forest Service National Avalanche Center
The major avalanche research, monitoring and mediation center in the United States may not
have the prettiest page on the Web, but the Forestry Service has the best, most accurate
information on all things having to do with the phenomenon.
